How to Avoid Over-training to Maximize Muscle Growth
Written by: Vince_DelMonte
Almost anyone that's picked up a set of weights has or will experience symptoms of over-training at one point in there muscle building program. Over-training can lead to serious injury, chronic fatigue, and even muscle loss. Over-training is very common amongst athletes and particularly bodybuilders, since they figure that training as much as possible is the fastest way to massive muscle gains. This couldn't be any further from the truth however...

Potatoes - friend or foe for a Lean-Body?
Written by: Mike_Geary
I'd like to start a little discussion today about carbohydrates... and in particular, potatoes. Some even say such ridiculous things as "avoid any and all white carbohydrates".

Question: Tom, are you familiar with cleansing programs? If so, what do you think of them? Is it true that when you lose weight from cleansing that you lose a lot of fat or is it just that you're losing water based on glycogen reduction because you're in a caloric deficit?

Whole Eggs: Dietary Evil or The New Superfood?
Written by: Tom_Venuto
It's overly simplistic to say that the saturated or animal fats cause heart disease. It's even more simplistic and incorrect to say that foods high in dietary cholesterol such as egg yolks, will always lead to an increase in cholesterol in the blood. Many other factors are involved, including the type of saturated fat, individual genetics, current health status, exercise and the big picture of what else is consumed in the rest of the diet.

So, you've reached the dreaded sticking point. You're hitting your workouts consistently but there is not much happening. Another Reason Your Muscle Building Program Sucks
Written by: Jason_Ferruggia
One of the most popular, faulty and dangerous myths espoused in nearly every muscle building program is that you must use a full range of motion on every exercise in order to achieve maximal growth. Supposedly you have to take each movement to the fully stretched position and then finish in the fully "peak" contracted position. If you don't you will never get huge... or so they say.
